I'm Okay

I should have given a heads up in the last post that I was going to be out of town this past weekend but I thought I would be able to do art and post. Boy I was wrong. It's okay, because my depression is starting to flare up and I just want to draw things that make me happy. I'm heading home today so hopefully it'll all be up eventually after I get back. See you in the next post!

Where Was Yesterday's Post?

Is honestly probably more of what I would hope anyone would be asking me. Probably not though,

So yesterday's post is a day late because yesterday at 6:16 PM, our power went out. Thanks to so trees or tree limbs, a huge chunk of my area was out of power for 6 hours. Honestly I hope those who worked hard are okay because it was wet from the snow and rain but the winds definitely made it worse. It's interesting to see how people react to the world around them without power. I thought I was just being weird by wanting to wander the streets in a dark navy blue poncho and other long and dark clothing just to spook people, but there were people in hoards driving around and honking their horns. I mean, okay. It's just interesting but in the moment I was a little wary so I went inside as fast as I could walk with my dog.

Anyway, onto what you're here for. More Inktober pieces. I'm proud of some of these pieces honestly.

Day 14 Clock
Okay, I should explain this is Alice in Wonderland. Obviously my own historical take on Alice because your girl loves the fashion from the 1800's. I swear if I ever do an Alice in Wonderland series it's going to be an absolute love letter to Victorian fashion.

Day 15 Weak
Blue Diamond belongs to Rebecca Sugar and Cartoon Network
This is a day I just wanted to draw whatever so I drew Blue Diamond. Yeah the coloring isn't exact but I'm still proud of this piece and I love it.

Day 16 Angular
Pink Diamond belongs to Rebecca Sugar and Cartoon Network.

Oh look, another Diamond drawn on a day I couldn't think of anything. Again I'm proud of this one. The colors not being exact really make me like it more for whatever reason.

Day 17 Swollen
Meteora belongs to Daron Nefcy and Disney
Yet again another day where I just said heck with it. I really wanted to draw a grown up Meteora because I really love her embracing her monster side.

Day 18 Bottler
Girl on the Moon belongs to Miller High Life

Now, to anyone who doesn't know I'm originally from Wisconsin. I was in a few places in Milwaukee county growing up so I really say Milwaukee county is where I'm from. Seriously though, I love her. She reminds me of home. I did a bit of my own take since I loved different details.

Day 19 Scorched
So for those that aren't going to know where this version is from, it's from Halloween Horror Nights this year. There are more details on her skirt but I'm not trying to hate myself.

Day 20 Breakable
Oh look, a character that's mine. Although this really isn't her official look, it's just for fun. Also, very much excuse the eyes. I tried to cover up how bad the black looked with silver. Yeah, it didn't work that well. Oh well.

Before this post ends, it's time for the extras!

One more full week left. See you in the next post!

7 More Days of Inktober

Another Seven Are done!

Everyone having a good October so far? I want to say I am despite the absolute lack of horror or Halloween movies I've seen. I've been listening to quite a bit of music from horror movies though. I also swear this month is great for me to get into really wholesome games that I super love because October of '15 was when I found Undertale and fell in love with it and this year I found A Hat in Time. Enough with all of that, you're here for the art and the art you shall have.

Day 7
I remember this day being exhausted and I had actually want to draw me because that's how I've been ever since my depression has gotten worse but funny enough, I was too tired to actually do it so here's a sleeping ghost and cat in a cauldron. It's honestly a little meta in a way since this is a product of my exhaustion.

Day 9

Ah, we're back at days I absolutely forgot the theme for. Here's a random pretty lady though.

Day 8
Star Butterfly belongs to Daron Nefcy and Disney.
This day was Star and this is another one I actually had planned. I've always been kind of bummed that they've never done something fun and colorful for her on the show for Halloween. Does the coloring make sense? Probably not. But the colors for her kind of go all over and I feel like if she ever actually had something princessy and fun for Halloween it would be an absolutely wild sight.

I've also just realized I switched two pictures. Wow I'm tired. Tired enough to just mess with captions and acknowledge it and not actually make more edits to switch them. Nope.

Day 10
Lapis Lazuli belongs to Rebecca Sugar and Cartoon Network.
This one was flowing. I just really wanted to draw my favorite blue gem in a flowy and comfy outfit.

Day 11
Constance Hatchaway belongs to Disney.

This one was planned but I forgot the day's theme. Here's Constance though.

Day 12
Scarlett belongs to Busch Gardens.
Now, unless you are an absolute nut like I am for Halloween events or you just think any of these things are cool, you're probably not going to remember this one. She's from the Howl-O-Scream house Unearthed. You know, when they tried to keep up the icon thing. I love her and the entire idea, I just had a few things I didn't really like about her look which it kind of what I've changed in my drawing. She has these weird hoof looking heels that have socks plus fishnets. First of all, my period loving brain knows what would actually be in fashion at that time and what would be more practical. If it's the era I think it is, it's nothing but boots and stockings. However, I went with the hooves because if she's not even fully human anymore, she's probably slowly becoming a beast like creature. I also very much changed her corset and skirt because just no. It looks awesome, but I can't place her in the time she's from and it personally bothers me. I also definitely added different details to carry that beast like feel I wanted. Alright I'm done, I'm just going to be over here trying not to do my own takes on horror characters from the parks.

Day 13

Now, this is a character that is actually mine and has gone through the most complex journey out of all my OCs. I'm not sure whether or not this is actually canon but it probably will be because writing villains or characters taken over can be super fun.

Before I end this post I just wanted to do a few extras for the heck of it.

Look at these fancy ladies. Yeah that's Lapis. I don't waste pages with my sketchbooks.

This most definitely isn't art I've created but it's a family I've created. That's Mr. and Mrs. Pumpkin from Target and that little boy is a random figure that I found. I named him Sammy. I'm proud of my little Halloween family and they seem happy.

Alright I'm starting to get more tired so I'm going to end this post now before I get upset with myself. See you all in the next post!

First 6 Days of Inktober Done!

Hey there!

For once I'm actually making a post on my laptop and not my phone. I'm still trying to figure out how to use this to make it better for you guys but what matters the most is the art. Why am I doing the first six days is something you're probably wondering. It's honestly so it's easier for me to remember. I tend to forget easily due to certain reasons, but if it's a very specific day I can remember. So I believe I said in the last post that I kind of just wing Inktober sometimes and I most definitely have done that. Sometimes I just can't come up with something and I really want to draw a different thing so it happens. We're here to have fun and get better with our art, not worry about sticking with a theme.

Day 1
So the first day was poison and for awhile I was on an absolute kick for drawing one OC of mine who is my The Nightmare Before Christmas OC. I knew right away I wanted to draw her in something like this. It may be OOC, but it's fun.

Day 2

Whaaat? Two things for day 2?
I totally forgot by now what the theme was for this day. I want to say tranquil but I'm probably wrong. Either way it was something around that feeling and honestly I love myself a good walk surrounded by nature and I also love a good mug of tea.

Day 3
I also forgot this day and I'm actually pretty sure for the rest of the days I've just forgotten because once I don't need to remember my brain just pushes it out. But there was this witch figure at work who was an absolutely majestic old lady. Only the worthy can purchase her and have the pleasure of having her in their home. Also have $30 they're willing to spend before October where plenty more stuff would be out (Yeah she was out in September and someone bought the two we had).

Day 4
I lied by the way, this day was spell. Here's my favorite witch OC before she was killed. For once I actually stayed on model which never happens. I also just realized you can definitely see that this has it being done on the 6th. I drew everything I wanted in pencil but when I could I inked it all.

Day 5

This one was chicken and I originally wanted to draw something else but I'm pretty sure I drew this at work and that's why it's just this. It's also been forever in a half since I drew horns so let's just all say a prayer for our dear lesbian demon that her horns recover.

Day 6
This was one of those days I really didn't know what I wanted to draw so I just drew with a pen and popped anything out. I present to you a pretty lady. No joke, I've been drawing like this a lot lately just because it's easier to whip them out. It also kind of really helps me create more fluid lines.

Alright, so that's the end of the Inktober drawings. I did have some extras just because I thought it would be fun and also because I never post my art that much.

So that does it for this post. I'm going to get my butt making the next one now so I can get caught up. See you all in the next post!

P.S.

Before I forget, I'm eventually going to talk to all of you about what I'm planning because I might as well bring some light to it rather than not say anything. I just need to have time to go through it all.

See you in the next post!

It's October! Inktober is upon us now!

Hey everyone! I know, I really should finally post anything but honestly, my life has been a mess I'm trying to figure out. Plus some really not okay things happened towards the end of September so it probably was for the best that I didn't have a lot of things for me to immediately do. But anyway, it's finally my favorite month and not only does it mean a lot of Halloween all month long, but it's Inktober. Now, I've tried with all my might to actually stick with each day's theme, but it almost never happens. This is obviously okay, the objective is to just draw and use ink. That's it. So, if you're doing any challenges this month, know it's absolutely okay to not stick with it 100%. Just do whatever the purpose is and make something you'll be happy with. I know I stick with Inktober because I absolutely need to draw and get better with inking. So, good luck to you all! I'll figure out what to do eventually.

See you in the next post!
